| The 4th Annual Play Ball for Paul Softball Tournament |

On July 28th and 29th, 48 teams, more than 100 volunteers and hundreds of spectators came out for a terrific weekend of softball for a great cause.The 4th Annual Play Ball for Paul was a tremendous success netting more than $30,000 for San Diegans with spinal cord injuries. Pepsi provided all the beverages, while Weinerschnitzel dogs and burgers were grilled onsite by the tireless Greg Allen of Catermasters to the delight of our hungry players. Barbara Savaglio, Cathy Nakanote of Coldwell Banker, Sharp Rehab, Ability Center and Photothera made generous donations and Casey Gerry Law again sponsored the Cool Zone, our massive canopy that provided everyone with shade throughout the weekend and was the gathering place for our raffle prize drawing. |
Players, spectators and volunteers left with terrific prizes donated by generous supporters including Starwood Hotels, Taylor Made and the San Diego Padres, to name just a few. Teams also made off with great prizes and from rec to elite, competition was lively with teams battling it out for the title in each of four divisions.

Susan Cooper Photography graciously donated their time and photographic expertise to capture this event on film. Almost 400 photos were taken over the weekend! Every picture is available for viewing or purchase at the 4th Annual Play Ball for Paul Gallery of the Susan Cooper Photography website. All proceeds from photo purchases will be donated to Hospital to Home!

We'd like to thank each and every team manager, player, volunteer, umpire, donor and spectator for making the 4th Annual Play Ball for Paul a huge success. We hope you had a blast and look forward to seeing all of you again next year.
